“It’s important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It’s not only life of babies, but it’s life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet.

– Arlington Heights, Illinois, Oct. 24, 2000

My boyfriend, who reads Slate like I read Jezebel, sent me this article the other day: “The top 25 Bushisms of all time,” by Jacob Weisberg. A few of them I had heard before, but most — like the quote listed above — were new to me, and most of them made me laugh out loud. A few of my favorites:

3. “Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?”

16. “One of the great things about books is somethings were are fantastic pictures.”

25. “I’ll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office.”

The whole list is great, so check it out!
